Dallas has no shortage of therapists, but finding one who truly specializes in what you’re facing can still take months. Layers Counseling Specialists is a small practice where every therapist specializes, helping children, teens, and adults with OCD, anxiety, ADHD, autism, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and trauma. We use approaches with strong research behind them, like exposure and response prevention (ERP) and inference-based CBT (I-CBT) for OCD, and therapy is available in English or Spanish. Many Dallas clients meet with us online, and many make the drive to our Plano office.
We specialize in OCD (including ERP and I-CBT), anxiety disorders, ADHD, autism, ARFID, eating disorders, and trauma, working with children as young as 3, teens, and adults.

Our office at 8105 Rasor Blvd., Suite 206 is in far north Plano, just off the Dallas North Tollway. From North Dallas it’s usually about 20 to 25 minutes, and from Uptown or central Dallas plan on 30 to 40 depending on traffic. Parking is free, and every service we offer is also available by secure video anywhere in Texas.
For busy Dallas schedules, online sessions often make weekly therapy possible, and evening appointments help too. Students at SMU and other Dallas schools can meet between classes. For families with young children, we offer play therapy in our Plano playroom and parent-based support through SPACE.
About 20 to 25 minutes from North Dallas and 30 to 40 minutes from central Dallas, straight up the Dallas North Tollway. You can also meet with the same therapists by secure video.
Yes. OCD is a big part of what we treat. We use exposure and response prevention (ERP), and inference-based CBT (I-CBT) for people who want a path without exposures, online or in person.
Yes. We offer therapy in English or Spanish, including ERP for OCD and anxiety, in person in Plano or online.
We’re a private-pay practice. Because we don’t bill insurance, nothing goes on file with your insurance company unless you choose to submit a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. We accept HSA and FSA cards and offer two fee levels: our specialists and our focused clinicians, who are supervised by specialists and cost less. A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available too.
Yes. Evening appointments and online sessions make it easier to fit therapy around work and school.
