Prosper has grown fast, and so have the pressures on the families who live there: new schools, packed schedules, and kids who seem to be carrying more than they can say. Layers Counseling Specialists is a small practice in north Plano where every therapist specializes, and we help children, teens, and adults with OCD, anxiety, ADHD, autism, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and trauma. Parents often reach out when worry, rituals, or meltdowns start running the household. Adults come to us for intrusive thoughts, panic, and ADHD or autism that wasn’t recognized until later in life. We use approaches with strong research behind them, like exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD.
We specialize in OCD (including ERP and I-CBT), anxiety disorders, ADHD, autism, ARFID, eating disorders, and trauma, working with children as young as 3, teens, and adults.

From most of Prosper, our office at 8105 Rasor Blvd., Suite 206 is about 20 minutes south on the Dallas North Tollway, in far north Plano near the Frisco line. Parking is free right outside the building. Every service we offer is also available by secure video anywhere in Texas, so many Prosper families mix in-person and online sessions around school and activities.
With young kids, sports, and long commutes, a weekly drive can be a lot. We offer evening appointments, and we’ll help you find a rhythm that works. Young children usually start with play therapy in our Plano playroom, with parents closely involved, and if your child won’t come to therapy at all, our parent-based program, SPACE, works entirely through you.

Yes. OCD is a big part of what we treat. Our therapists use exposure and response prevention (ERP), and we also offer inference-based CBT (I-CBT) for people who want a path without exposures, in person in Plano or online.
We’re a private-pay practice. Because we don’t bill insurance, nothing goes on file with your insurance company unless you choose to submit a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. We accept HSA and FSA cards and offer two fee levels: our specialists and our focused clinicians, who are supervised by specialists and cost less. A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available too.
Yes. Evening appointments make it easier to fit therapy around school and work, in person or online.
